The Research Centre for the Management of Agricultural and Environmental Risks (CEIGRAM) at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher (Recognised Researcher R2) to contribute to the AgNUE project.

The researcher will join AgNUE’s work on supersites (WP1), with a particular focus on nitrogen fertilisation, greenhouse gas mitigation in Mediterranean agricultural systems, and sustainable agri-food systems. The position combines field and laboratory research with data analysis and participation in the project’s international research activities.

Key tasks include field and laboratory work, processing and analysis of monitoring data, participation in international meetings, and preparation of scientific publications and reports.

Candidates should hold a PhD in an agro-environmental field or a closely related discipline and have relevant experience with nitrogen and/or greenhouse gas research in agricultural systems. Experience with GHG and nitrogen flux measurements, large environmental datasets, R or Python, GIS and agricultural monitoring networks is particularly relevant. A high level of both English and Spanish is required.

The successful candidate will become part of CEIGRAM’s research environment and the wider international AgNUE consortium, contributing to research, training and knowledge-transfer activities across the project.
